    Default Easter outfits

The Easter dresses in the stores are just soooo cute. BUT, I resisted the urge to splurge on them for the girls for church. (and something new for ds) I forced myself to get out and dig through the spring/summer clothes and found some things to put together to make cute, and "dressy" spring outfits. Saved some $, and they truly only have them on an hour or so.

Good for you. I was thinking the other day how much people spend on new outfits for Easter Sunday. It's nice if you can afford it but in our society it is almost like something is wrong if you don't buy new clothes for Easter.

I use to buy new outfits for Easter but quit about 7 years ago.

I did buy DD a new dress, but I didn't get a really fancy one... it's a cotton dress she can wear all summer, and I only paid $9.99.

As a poor white girl, we used to get a new easter outfit every year.

    We looked forward to it.

When my children were growing up, I included thier Easter outfit in their baskets. Shoes and all. I had to stop that when they 'just have' to buy at Abercrombie and Fitch.

But I like that you looked around for what you had.. and prettied them up. That's the way to go.

    Good work!

DD is wearing the outfit we bought for her professional portraits. (We got a phenomenal deal on a nationally-acclaimed photogapher who specializes in children's portraits.) Anyway, if we hadn't already bought that, I would have done the same- looked around and found something I could use.

I remember getting a new Easter and a new Christmas dress every year. Now, that I'm grown, it's hard for me to resist going shopping and getting a new outfit for the occasions. But I did!

Wesley wore a pair of khakis, a button up shirt and sweater vest of friend of Zac's gave us. SO CUTE!
