I totally agree! We finished our first year in June, and I had anxiety attacks while I was compiling our progress report and portfolio for the school department, who have not been particularly friendly or supportive of homeschoolers. Did we do enough? Will they tell me that I am a bad teacher? Will they let me do this again next year? Have I screwed him up so badly that he'll never be able to catch up with other kids in his grade? Sure, the other homeschoolers online say to relax, but I bet they have done more with their kids than I have!

And we got a really nice letter back from the superintendent saying that he was pleased with how much Nate had learned, and the books that he had read, etc.

And I know that it will work out that way for you, too!

Focus on the excitement -- those nice new (to you, anyway) books and workbooks and untouched notebooks... the scent of freshly sharpened pencils in the air.... hahaha.

When are your "classes" starting?
