Curriculum Sharing
Is there a certain curriculum that you really like that you wouldn't mind sharing? Thanks!

I can recommend that you take a look at the Sonlight catalog. Really good literature-based curriculum, especially for the younger grades.

Thanks so much! I've heard of Sonlight before, but I've never heard of Robinson.
Institute for Excellence in Writing seems to be getting rave reviews here, but I haven't had any experience with it.
I am currently using Math U See with my 4 1/2 year old and I'm quite impressed. My oldest two kids attend private school this year and we haven't made the decision on the older two kids yet. I'm thinking that I may go ahead and purchase curriculum for them to use over the summer.Cherie

We use Singapore Math for my guys.
The rest of their curriculum has been cobbled together. It wasn't as easy as a packaged curriculum, but it was way cheaper. Most of it was bought at thrift stores.Beak-1996, Toad-1998, and Q-1998

I love Saxon for math.

We also use Saxon for math and love it, but....it has lots of review, and I mean, almost too much. I do eliminate some of the work, but DD really needs the constant practice and review to really grasp the material. I really like it and DD likes knowing exactly what to expect, since most of the lessons follow the same format. For DS, we are using McRuffy Press Phonics and Reading. It's a pretty good language arts program, gentle and undemanding, but I supplement with time spent on Starfall.com as well. Everything else we pull together from here and there.
