Year Round Homeschool?
Does anybody do this. My ds has made such progress I don't want to backslide. I was considering giving him two weeks off the start of June and then going back to a light schedule (LA, Math, and fun experiments, Liberty Kids, etc). Maybe an hour/day. Then two more weeks off in August. Any opinions? I've only been at this 7 weeks but he has made big strides.

When I homeschooled my children, we did stuff during the summer. Mostly because we didn't follow a traditional school calendar because I liked the freedom to do stuff when other kids were in school. My kids are now in public school, however I do buy them the Summer Bridges workbooks. I think they are published by McGraw-Hill. The books are meant to help the kids remember what they just learned and at the end it introduces some of the concepts they will learn next school year.

We do school year round.
When we finish up our "year" in a couple week, we will take a week or 2 off. We will then start on a 3 or 4 day schedule for the summer. I like the freedom this gives us around various holidays and events.

We too school year round. We do have an abbreviated summer schedule also.
I have their assignments set up by "weeks". When they have finished 35 weeks of work...they are finished. We take 3 full weeks off and then move to abbreviated summer schedule.
My first grader figured out if she worked ahead she would get more free time...she finished her language arts this week and will finish Math in about 2 weeks. My 6th grader however has recently discovered that she'll be doing Math during the summer for longer than she expected.

We do this! It works for us to do just a little bit of structured stuff each day (my son is 8) and we are quite free-schooly the rest of the time. In the summer, my ds does science camp, which is a half-day, but we'll continue the motor skills (he has sensory and motor skills issues) and probably math as we can fit it in.

I am fairly 'unschooly' though we do a formal math program three or four days a week. DD is only seven but an excellent reader (she tested fifth grade level when she was in first grade at P.S.), so much of her education at this age comes from interesting library books and DVDs, both fiction and nonfiction. We will definitely continue learning (including Math) throughout the summer.

We are pretty much unschooling so "school" happens for us on Christmas, family vacations, 8:30 in the evening, etc. Whenever a learning opportunity arises we take it.
You have to find what works best for your family and go from there.
