    Post 2nd day of school for Daniel...

    I had to share...

    So far, he passed two great days, in class and all the time spent in school. He doesn't have much choice to behave...he is surounded by his teacher, the class educator, the psychotherapist...and he's in a class with 9 boys. I am so happy for him because he wants to be better.

    But....

    I just got a phone call from a little boy, who is in 3rd grade.
    Daniel has apparently spitted on him and pushed him on the sidewalk.... ...I told the boy, that I would inform his teacher on monday and they would work it out with Daniel and him. The boy was relieved. I asked to speak to his parents. They were not home...

    I realize, as much as I put my hopes for Daniel to change with all the tight supervision he has at school, what I feared would happened has happened...Daniel cannot walk home alone, the 5 minutes he has to walk from school to our home. He is without adult supervision on his way home and I was afraid of problems coming up...I don't want the whole city of Boisbriand on back because he fights on his way home...

    Anyhow, I will speak with his educator on monday to see what he thinks, but I think Pierre will pick Daniel at school everyday, until he can control himself...

    ....*sigh*...but don't worry I'm ok. I know Daniel won't change tomorrow. It takes time...

    Little by little it will get better. That little boy sure was something else taking it upon himself to phone you, big step for a little boy. You handled it perfectly. The lights shining bright Lucie.

    Thank-you dear friends. I guess, it's true, little by little, small steps and the light will shine for Daniel...

    About the little boy, I later found out, he was phoning from my neighbour's home. The boy was probably afraid that Daniel would hurt him again on another occasion...

    My friend neighbour was afraid to come and see me, she didn't want to get involved since it was not her son. I told not to be shy to come and see me if problems come up with Daniel, I am not aware of. Not that I want to get more mad at Daniel, but I wouldn't want a small problem kept inside and get blown out after repeated bad experiences.

    I'm glad we had the talk...

    I'm hanging on, I'm hanging on! lol What else can I do?... sigh...
