Thumbs up What a wonderful way to look at education

The whole object of education is...to develop the mind. The mind should be a thing that works.
    Sherwood Anderson

Developing ones mind. I think our potential to develop are mind is really limited at times, only because we won't stretch ourselves to learn new things, to get more education. We have so much potential and yet we sit back. I wonder why that is?

Its interesting because when I look at my kids and their developing minds, I want for them to learn so much I didn't. I want them to be excited about learning and education. I want to give them every advantage I can, even though they are limited in their disabilities. I want to teach them to stretch when it comes to education and to continue to learn all their lives and in so learning to enjoy every minute of it.

    Thoughts!!

    Right on.

To me it's about giving options, choices in life that otherwise wouldn't happen.

Broadening the horizons, broadening the mind.

    I agree....

The child should strive for knowledge, not knowledge for the child....
