    Question When did your school year start?

    In Manitoba, school doesn't start until Sept. 8th this year.   Our provincial government has made a law that school starts the day after Labour Day rather than a week before.    For some reason, the 8th is 2 days after Labour Day.

    What about your school year?

    College started Monday the 23rd.
    Mark (can't believe my baby's a senior!) was supposed to start on Sept. 8th but because of some construction project delays (rain etc) they won't starting 'til the 13th. Hope this doesn't cut into vacation days or makes the school year end later. I'm hoping for a mild winter so they can put unused snow days towards making up the time. We'll see.

    Kathryn starts Sept 2nd (one week from today). Lauren starts preschool Sept 7th.

    The Community School District started on the 23rd. When I was a kid we didn't go back until after Labor Day.

    The public schools here started back on Aug. 9th or 10th.

    We start our homeschool year on Sept. 1st.

    Hmm it's anyone's guess at this point. There is major construction going on. They are tentatively scheduled to go back on Sept. 13

    Ours started back on Aug. 20th for a few hours (a Friday!) and then started partial days Aug. 23rd, until after Labor Day. Full days start on Tuesday after Labor Day.
