Do any of your husbands work nights?
If so, do you wait to do your school stuff until after he leaves so that you and the children get to visit with him in the morning and early afternoon??
My husband works nights, and this year I was planning on doing all our school stuff starting in the morning and being done by around noon. Now however, I am wondering if maybe we should wait and do it later in the day and/or evening so that she can see her dad more. However, not sure if it's true or not, but I've heard alot of people say that kids tend to do their best academically earlier in the day...
So, what do you guys think? How would you handle this situation?

My dh works 2nd shift, 3:45pm til 12:15 am, and we do homeschool in the evening while he is at work. We've found that we have more family time together if we work things this way and it's worked out well for us. Of course dd is 15 so I don't know how well this would work with young children who might get too tired by the end of the day to do school unless maybe a nap was scheduled during the day. You could always give it a try and see how it goes, if it's not working then go back to mornings.
