I found out yesterday, that Francois still has the same english teacher as last year! We had so much problems with him and it's probably why Francois failed english...
Anyways, I'm on my way to meet the director to have him changed classes for english. I just hope it goes well.
Thanks Laci and Jayne! I'm back...It went well. It's not possible to have him changed...He'd have to change all his classes and one class-french wouldn't fit in his sceduale. The director told me that we'll wait a month and if anything doesn't go well, he will find a way to change him. He will also have a talk with the english teacher. I will also be getting the outline of the Francois' english program, so I can help him.
Well, I'm relieved...I am hopeful that this year will be better, especially that now Francois is taking medication for his problem. He's got attention deficient disorder but no hyperactivity--in other words he's lunatic. But with the meds he is so much more *awake* and *receptive*
All I hope is that his english teacher won't put him on his black list, like last year...
I understand your fears. Maybe things will be different, and better, for him this year on the medication. We just started my oldest son on medication for ADHD, and I REALLY hope this year is better. It could be a great year!!!

I hope it goes well for him Lucie. It's so hard when a teacher seems to have it in for a kid. At least you've alerted the director to the possibility. You're a good mommy Lucie dear.

How could Francios fail with you in his corner Lucie? If any problems come up, you have the director already in the loop. Here's hoping it is smooth sailing for Francios this year!

Hugs Lucie, and Francois will do well. My oldest, he had to have Ritalin to manage in Gr 8 when he moved into a busy high school. It really did work for him, and funny enough it was his crabby English teacher who also taught sports that gave him the most trouble. (same guy must have moved to Quebec!!!!)
You're doing what you can Lucie. Hoping this year is a good one.
