EducationSchool aged children, frugal college students, and adults returning to college discussions. Public, private, and parochial school topics. Teaching-learning resources. Fun activities.
I'm not even sure if you can help really? As I'm not sure how different things are in our country. I'm not even sure yet how it all works here! LOL.
So this is a random idea that came to me today!
I want to go to Art Collage!
Ok ~ I'm 39 (shhhh) TODAY! I haven't got any qualifications, I got kicked out of school, didn't really work for long, (although I managed to have NUMEROUS jobs!) And I've spent the last EIGHTEEN years at home bringing up my kids!
It's not looking good is it?
Do you HONESTLY think it's worth going for or not??? I'd hate to think I 'could of' and missed the boat (my Dad did that ) But I also don't want to be unrealistic and go chasing after something I got NO hope of.
What does age have to do with it Bev? If your heart is telling you to go - GO!!!!!
Look at what Robin did and where she is today - a university graduate. Don't put it off because of your age or because you feel all you ever did was be a mom.
Life is short Bev. We so often put off something because we fear it, only later to regret not having done it.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY FIRST, AND NOW FOR THE REST OF IT I think you should if you want to , here is yet another one of my stories I was in college a few years ago and today this is where I am ,I left after my first year to marry DAH (remember him??) anyway I thought i would go back and I haven't andjthe other day i realized that all my friends that were there with me have graduated, I still have 3 years left. If you want to do it please do it and don't let anything stand in your way YOUR TALENTED ENOUGH WE KNOW THAT!!!off

Yes, I think you shoud give it a try. Here we have couselors at the college who help you identify what your strengths are and what courses you would need to take. Do you have that there?

Happy birthday Bev! I say if you really want to try it then you should do it! I went to Art school and graduated and it was a blast! If you are scared at first, just try one course at a time!
I went back to university when I was in my late 30s and graduated with a degree. Find out about mature-aged students, I'm sure you'd qualify. Go for it, the only regret you'll have is if you don't.
