I am thinking about this!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi homeschooling families,
I am just thinking about the subject.I am not sure I could truly do it but I am disliking the school system more and more everyday. I was wondering if anyone had any advice and/or websites full of homeschooling information.Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I don't know if you are still looking for this info., but I am happy to share. This is my first year homeschooling (I am a Master's level, certified teacher but left teaching to come home and teach my own). I teach my soon-to-be 5th grader at home and my only regret is that I didn't homeschool both children all along. My eldest is a soon-to-be junior but will attend the high school and college next year on joint enrollment.
The places I love to check out are:
www.elijahco.com
~They have a lovely catalog, get one sent to you and then you can learn so much from it
www.vegsource.com/homeschool
~This is the motherlode for information!
www.timberdoodle.com
~This is another place to request a catalog from.
www.hslda.org
~Homeschool Legal Defense Assoc. There is all kinds of info. here. You can search by state, etc. to find lots of good things you need to know.
I also recommend you contact your local homeschool association, they are invaluable. Plus find out when/where your next homeschool convention is (my 'big one' is in Atlanta, and another 'almost as big one' is in Perry, GA in June). The best way to learn alot in a short amount of time is go to the conventions. You can meet all the curriculum suppliers and see hands-on what is available. Plus they have speakers, workshops for you to attend.
Good luck to you on your quest for knowledge; I hope you are able to find enough to get started with these.
