So all my fellow homeschoolers...are your kids getting cabin fever yet?

With the arrival of Spring (well at least Spring like weather

) it seems we get a bad case of "cabin fever" each year about this time. I just want to go and work in the yard and so do 2 of my kids. I have found that I just take a day off from the regular schoolwork once in awhile to be outside and to do some home improvement projects with the boys. We count gardening as Agricultural Science since they are learning about soils, what kinds of plants grow best in what conditions, pruning tecniques and soon...how to build a greenhouse! We've been pouring over the seed catologs finding some great stuff that we cannot get here locally and will be starting a little produce side business this year in earnest. DH is even talking about approuching our neighbors about buying a small piece of their property to even out ours and give us more room. Our neighbor suffered a stroke and is paralyzed on the left side of his body now.

He and his wife have had to hire help to keep up with their huge yard and garden. We'd love to have the property and help them reduce their workload and help with their finances at the same time.

We just came in from weeding the garden, watering everything, cutting tree limbs and hauling them to the road for yard recycling pickup, and doing some mowing (until we ran out of gasoline).
