Thumbs up Moments like this make all the sacrifices worthwhile!

Josh came into my room a bit ago and was all excited! He was doing his advanced math and wanted to show me how cool it was to do his math problems on the graphing calculator. He and Chris both just thought it was the coolest thing since string cheese! They are just about finished with their book and he pops up with this "I'm so excited Mom! I'm almost done with this book and then I get to start on Physics!" It just brought a huge smile to my face to see him and his twin brother so excited about learning! I don't see this much in other teens anymore and well...it makes it all worthwhile! I love being a homeschool Mom and getting to share these moments with my kids!

    YES!

Now mine have yet to get excited about MATH .(What program are you using? We're in the elementary Saxon books.)

But it just amazes (and rewards) me when one or both of my kids take something we did in school -- and turn it into play. For example, one day I read aloud a section about monks in the Middle Ages. My oldest (then 8) drew quite an intricate diagram of her impression of a Midieval monastary. On her own time!

Very satisfying! I feel your gladness!
