    Well, it looks like Utah is thinking, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." Sounds like common sense to me. And, statistically, HS students do well academically.

    In Indiana, where we lived when I first started HSing, there were few HS requirements. But the public schools were tested every year. I have had friends complain that the school spent WEEKS just doing test prep. (I think the friend said, "They've been back in school for 3 weeks, and all they've done is prepare for the ISTEP." )

    I'm very glad that I don't have to waste weeks just getting my kids ready for a test. Instead, they can be learning!
