Default Third place in the science fair!!

I just have to brag!! My dd (4th grader) entered her first science fair this year. The judging was Thursday and she came in 3rd place! She got a trophy, which she slept with Thursday night, a ribbon and $15.
Her project was determining if genes influence the types of fingerprints you have. We figured they influence everything else about how you look, so why not fingerprints? We spent hours fingerprinting the family and then fingerprinting friends, studying the prints and comparing them. She has really gotten into scrapbooking with me, and it came in handy when she created her display.
She was tickled to death and we are so proud of her!! Her little sister (6 years old) came home and created her own "science project." She cut out and stapled various shapes onto paper and then had us look at them and tell her what they were. She said she was "testing our vision." Her big sister made a first place ribbon and awarded it to her! AAAAHH! I love those moments when they are so sweet to each other!
Nothing can taste as good as being thin will feel.
