What is your child/children's favorite book right now?
I finally got a new book to interest my dd!
It is called "Would you rather be a bullfrog" and dd just grins so big when I read some of the parts!
I am really thrilled because she hasn't been able to sit through a whole book for a while (ever since she became mobil)
The last book she really liked for the touch and feel aspects of it. The furry mouse and the mossy rock etc..but that was about it. I used to read to her when she was a newborn a lot and she loved it back then.
So I'm just curious what books are you reading to your child/children that they just seem to really love? And what is their favorite part of the book? Oh and what ages are they? (my dd is 10months)
I feel like I've been slacking on reading enough to her..how much per day do you try to read to your kids?
My DD favorite books has to do with alot of diffrent things!!
My DD favorite books has to do with alot of diffrent things!!
She Loves Bible Stories!! Most of All !!
She loves Barney !!
She loves Hush Little Baby !!
She loves Love You Forever!!
She love Dr. Seuss!!
She loves Blues Clues !!
She Loves Winnie the Pooh!!
Well that is all I can think of at this time !!
Kathryn is 5 and is really enjoying the series by Barbara Park called Junie B. Jones. It's our first attempt at chapter books (I read a chapter to her every night before bed)
Lauren is 2 1/2 and is really into Curious George.
Anything Blues Clues is popular here
Berryll's Box is a fave here too...all about the fun things you can do and imagine with just a plain ole box!
then theres Go Dog GO.....that has been Dan and Jimmies fave for about three months now...and we read it like 6 times a day.....I love it when they "read" it right along with me word for word!
for my older boys....Jake likes anything that tells him fun and weird facts .....he will pick a topic...and then get every bit of information he can get on it....like one year it was Mt Everest......he saw show on Discovery about it...and then he wanted to know everything about it.....so we had three books in addition to internet info.....it was really embarressing to many of his teachers when he would ask them questions about Mt Everest...that they couldnt answer! This month...its Mummies..and Snakes.... he has one book that explains the mummificatiuon process...and he wants to be mummified when he dies now...LOL(shudder)
My Oldest, Nate.....reads everything he gets his hands on....currently he enjoys mysteries and Fantasy-Science Fiction-y stuff.Hes read every Goosebumps book...and all the Harry Potter Series... Hes now working his way through the Lord of the Rings Trilogy...he and his dad are reading it together so thats really cool
Julia is 16 months and she only likes books that she can manhandle, so we are still with the board books. Her favorites are Hello, Pooh! and Hickory Dickory Dock (a lift-the-flap book).

I know that you ask what books your children like right now, but I just had to add that when my children were young they loved Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, Good Night Moon, Katy and the Big Snow, Pat the Bunny, and Blueberries for Sal. If I can think of more I will add them later.
Wow...I can't believe Jules was only 16 months when I originally posted to this thread.
She currently loves Angelina Ballerina books and "I Love You, Stinky-Face." Although, she'll read whatever you give her...she loves books. She's almost 4.
