Please wish Dh luck too.
It's his last midterm today, and he sure needs prayers.
It is his fifth in 8 days.
He is studying Engineering Technology, majoring in Automation. It is BRUTAL. Out of 32 students only 8 has made it this far without failing a course!
Dh, failed his first exam this week. He got %49.5 in microcontrollers! He came home yesterday so worried.
The class average on that exam was %53! And over half the class has taken this class before!!!!!!
Brutal.
Please pray.

Thank-you for your prayers and good wishes. I won't hear from him until 5:30 (pacific time). He has classes from 8:30 until 5:30 today with no lunch break! It's his crazy day to boot.
He is very intelligent, he should have got his engineering degree right off, instead he did a degree in music (his love) and has always worked in the upper end of trades (pays well).
The program he is in had 6 graduates last year (32 began the program) who managed to get through without failing a course. And that was a Record!!!! Usually it is 3 or 4.
The exam he failed this week was out of 20 marks and had 5 very complicated questions. There were at least a dozen steps (therefor errors) that could be made. The prof. took off one mark per ERROR! The 'normal" way would be hmmm a dozen steps therefor take off 1/3 off per error therefore you would lose 1 mark with 3 errors and get only 3 out of 4 for the question. Do you follow? Instead the prof took off one mark per error so if you made 3 simple errors in your question (even if you get the question right) you only get 1 out of 4 for that question!!!!!!!
Those who are repeating this course say all his tests are like this and if you complain he makes them harder! Cruel.
The Profs perspective is he is preparing the students for real life where they can't make ANY mistakes.
But they still are learning! If they KNOW everything they wouldn't have to be taking the course!
Have some pity already.

Wow- if their pass rate is that low, it sounds like they need some new instructors!
Sending good luck vibes....

Oh boy, Kimberlina, you should have heard some of the rants over the past two years in this house reguading the instructors.
But, there are also some incredibly good ones of course. Isn't that always the way.

Wow! That sound very brutal......Sending Prayers,
& Good Luck to your DH!
http://www.luckymojo.com/horseshoe.html
In regions where the horseshoe is placed facing upward, folks believe the horseshoe must point up "or the luck runs out." In places where it is hung facing downward they say exactly the opposite -- "it must point down so the luck can pour onto you." However, in its function as an amulet for magical protection, especially over the doorways of barns and stables, the horseshoe usually points downward and it is said that "no witch will pass under it." The "Good Luck" horseshoe image i use on my web pages came from a 1940s American printer's stock cut book, probably drawn and engraved by a German-American, hence the horseshoe points downward.

Dh came home and says it was a killer exam and hopes he passed. He thinks he did but there were some very upset students around afterwards. So he is doubting himself. It was the last of a series of exams so no one had much time to devote to it. We will Know for sure next week.
Thank-you for all your prayers.
