Interesting science lesson yesterday
Warning: THIS IS GROSS!
Yesterday I looked out the window and noticed something on the neighbor's garage roof - right at the peak for God-n-everybody to see. Hmmm...what could that be? It's being very still, sort of furry, but seems to have a long tail....Any guesses?
Yes, that is correct! A dead rat! On the roof! Still
that.
Not two seconds later, along comes Mr. Crow. Are you picturing where this is going?
Being the good homeschool mom that I am, I say "Hey girls, c'mere!" They happily watched Mr Crow completely consume the unfortunate Mr. Rat. We talked about how it's good that the disgusting...um, I mean: helpful crows eat carrion, how it keeps the world a little cleaner. We talked about a crows beak and how good it is for picking because Mr Crow doesn't cast a pellet like Mr Owl. Do you know what a pellet is? My 6yo explained to my 4 yo yesterday.
Just thought I'd share.
