I can so relate to how you are feeling. My oldest went to kindergarten last year and I dropped her off the first day of school and bawled all the way home. I think I will do better when first grade starts this year but I am not looking forward to it. I seriously considered homeschool but we decided on catholic school instead. A lot of my friends can't wait til the first day of school to drop their kids off but I am dreading it. It seems like a big pain in the butt for me. We can cry together on the first day lol. Amy

I cried like a baby when my first DD went to school for the first time. DH had to console me. When DD2 went, it was FREEDOM time! I went out to breakfast to celebrate! When DD3 starts it will be like DD1 all over again I think.

Hi! I'm new here.....thought I'd jump right in

When my oldest DD started kindergarten I was working outside the home. Wasn't such a big adjustment for me because she was at daycare all day anyway so not much difference. Although, I did have my weepy moments (was preg with DD2 at the time so that may account for some of that.....lol).

Youngest DD (#3) had some medical problems which forced me to quit working. Now this year, not only does DD1 go back to school but DD2 is entering kindergarten.

I'm also having a hard time with school starting this year.
So, if you don't mind, may I sit and cry along with the rest of you?

I am ready to send my two to school now--and school doesn't start for a month! They are at each other constantly, or else they are picking on ME. I am afraid I will be dancing barefoot in the street with a maragrita in one hand and my snadlas in the other the day school begins! Anyone want to join me?

All mine have been in school for a while, but I am going to feel lost when the youngest one leaves my campus this year and moves to another campus without me. He used to be able to come to my room when he needed something. I would see him a few times throughout the day, but not this year. He will be on his own. I think he will be fine, but mom needs to adjust... We live in a small town and there are only 4 campuses in the whole town. PreK-1st on one campus, 2nd-5th at one, 6th-8th for the jr. high and of course high school. He will be in 2nd and leaving me at the younger elementary campus!
