Default Do you and/or your family have a collection?

Tell us about your collections!!

I have a collection of "Jerry Bears"... they are beanie bears named after Grateful Dead songs. I haven't bought any in awhile but I have quite a few sitting on the rail above my computer desk.

I am also starting a Disney DVD collection for Tyler. He is up to 7 now.

I collect Nancy Drew books - mostly the re-released ones because the originals are just more than I'm willing to pay at the used bookstores here.

I also have a collection of Calvin and Hobbes books.

Other than that I like to collect items that are dolphin or lighthouse themed.

I collect Smurfs Just the little 1 1/2 inch figure ones.

I loved this cartoon when I was a teenager and just started collecting them. They are so hard to find now and when I do the people want an arm & a leg for them.

So I haven't bought any for awhile

My mother had given me a tea cup collection years ago, starting with my Great-Grandmother's. A teacup from her wedding china, a piece from my grandmother & a couple different pieces of hers. The collection has grown to include a teapot, creamer & sugar from dh's grandmother, teacup from sister, sil, friends, aunts and great-Aunts There are 23 sets in all. Someday they will be my dd's. I would like to have a "TEA" for her 16th and give them to her. We'll see, maybe her 18th. My Mother was a collector of everything, she passed away over 13 years ago and my Father 2 years ago. When my Father passed, I received many of my mothers collections, Royal Doulton character mugs, Shakespeare characters, Charles Dickens's Characters, the Beatles and King Henry VIII and his wives, I also have a large collection of Toby Mugs, kinda ugly things but I love em. My ds was given her sterling spoon collection, some of them are unique, one commemorates the first walk on the moon and Queen E's coronation.dd got a large beautiful thimble collection, some are staffishire.( Heads of the Pres. and Ben Franklin) I never meant to be a collector of anything, now I am a collector of everything like my Mother.....

I dont collect a whole bunch.
Just a little

I have the dishes I call transfer ware. Not sure if thats the true name. They only come in cream with reddish print on them. Kind of like blue and white dishes you see so much.

Before the sharks scared me half top death our family has an 8 year collected sea shell collection. We dug them ourselves. If you put your feet in water and feel around you can feel sand dollars. We grab them, then bleach them. We have more than we can count now. Good thing because Im not getting in there deep anymore heheheheheheh

I have a baby box with all there memories in there. Not sure if thats a collection.

Kids have their own treasure box where they get stuff once in a while. Mostly marbles, we found some old time marbles made from rock, they have the pirate coins.that type stuff. Daughter has an unofficial collection of porcalin dolls.....
None of our collections are probably worth anything but they mean a lot to us
