Ancient Greek lapbook

I want my kids (4th and 1st) to do a lapbook on ancient greece - does anyone have any ideas? I don't want to order the kit. Thanks!

If i wanted to go with out the kit, i would review the contents of the kit and try to get similar items. You can get a heavy duty posterboard (in kiddo's fav color even), find stickers on sale (at hobby lobby, online, or such) greek printables online, find a greek recipe to make, write down, take pics ad add to it to maybe. And then also i'd add as much room as possible maybe for him/her to write a brief essay about what they've learned during the unit study.

I was just reading a HS blog today where she did a study on Ancient Greece. I think the name of it was Cook Family Zoo or something like that. Google it and it should pull up. (If you can't find it let me know.) She did a really cute art project with her kids and has examples of their work on her website. I'm sure it would give you some ideas.
