Default Yds broke his collarbone yesterday...

Got a call from school. He was playing football at recess and tackled someone and got hurt. Took him to the ER and sure enough broken collerbone. He can go back to school today but cant work his afterschool job at the DQ. He goes back to the doc on Tuesday and then we will see. I told him he has to be really careful walking in the halls so he doesnt get bumped etc. Poor kid

Our oldest dd (almost 10), broke her collarbone at the age of 5 when she tripped over a shoelace playing basketball (on my 31st birthday when I was pg with her little sister). She was back to normal in less than 2 weeks (she was climbing 3 or 4 days after her accident!). The pediatrician gave us a brace, not so much to keep it immobilized, but to let others know that there is an injury and to be careful.

Four months later, her little brother broke his right leg (tib-fib fracture) and was in a leg cast for 7 weeks (just days after that same baby sister I was pg with was born).

They must have got it out of their system, because there have been no broken bones in almost 4 years in our family (I probably just jinxed us by saying that).

Youth is a great healing factor...he should be better in no time!
