My wonderful mother...
I haven't seen her in almost six years. She has never seen DS #2 in person and DS #1 was about four when she last saw him. She's been struggling for years to get her disability case settled and finally, she did last year! While she's been waiting on her lump sum payment, we've been discussing her coming out to visit. The original plan was that she was going to come up the mid of June but that fell through. Then we had looked at her coming up around July 15th. I get a call today as I'm painting the kids' playroom from her DBF...
She fell today while cleaning her house (using Murphy's Oil Soap on the floors). Not only did she fall, but she dislocated her right index finger -and- her elbow. The dislocation on her finger was so bad, they thought she broke it because it ripped part of the skin on her finger off. Hours after freaking out, I call her house and she's out of the hospital still on Morphine that they gave her so they could reset her elbow and finger. She goes back to see the doc in two weeks, which is when she'd have been coming out here. I told her I want her to be fully cleared before she comes out to see us.

Positive 'get better' vibes for your Mom! Once the Morphine induced cloud clears and she has her clearance, I don't think anything could stop her from coming to see her Grandkids! Stay positive as well!!!!
