    Default Am I crazy???

Dh has finally after a month of pleading agreed to have no.5. I am so excited. I had to agree that this will be our last (cross your fingers for twins.) Has anybody used the ovulation predicters? It took a year of trying for ds#4 and I really don,t want it to take that long again. Last time we weren't trying real hard just mainly not preventing it. I also want to know if anyone out there with lots of kids has any advice for me. I don't know why, but it seems to me going from 4 to 5 will be a big change. Also has anyone ever had a midwife? This will be my last and I want every choice I make to be a conscious decision. I also was wondering about cloth diapers. I worked at first with all th others so I never tried them, but weve been buying diapers for nine straight years and I would like to stop. I have one not potty trained now, but for the new baby would it be worth the investment. okay sorry for the novel, I just knew this is the place to go for answers.

congrats on getting the go ahead to try again :~)
We only have 4 kids so I can't help there there, I can't imagine going from 4 to 5 will be much different except the vehicle you drive might be a bit tight..
We went from 1 to 4 (triplets) and that was an adjustment I think all babies are an adjustment but one worth doing..

I didn't go the midwife way (high risk) but I have know friends who have I think you should ask before in the area around you and get some names and meet with them and see if you click with them and see if you find one you like..

so no advice here just wanted to say good luck..

I only have two children, we are now trying for three.But... I had a midwife and an at home birth with the second and I will be using Sena again. It was so peaceful and relaxing. I had a water birth and will be having one again. I really don't see how the fifth would make that much of a change. Four seems like a handful to me. I figure it just takes a month or two to adjust and reschedule the family then it's all set. Good luck trying. Ovulation kits do work but they are pricey. I would try charting. Try using a digital thermometer and taking your temp at the same time every morning. You can read about it in Taking Charge of Your Fertility or check out their website. There are also free websites that chart for you and predict ovulation.

    Happy Conception,

    Nealy

Congrats on ttc #5. I have just found out in the last couple of weeks that I am pregnant with #5 and I am very excited. Our kids are very close in age !! I have 7,5,3, and 17 month old. This will be our last child too. I like epidurals and modern medicine too much to have a baby anywhere than a hospital lol. I do disposable diapers and have one that wears pull ups to bed and one in diapers still right now. I have decided not to go down the cloth diaper route. The biggest adjustment for me right now with a larger family is the cooking! My dh is no small man either at 6'3" and 300 pounds and all the kids are skinny as can be but eat like there is no tomorrow. My dh said we are in real trouble when they are all teenagers. I am finding that I have to fix a lot more food than I use to so I am always looking for good tasting , healthy, cheap recipes. You know that food bill can get out of control!! Well congrats on trying and keep us posted!! Amy

Congrats on trying for number 5 I to just recently found out I was pregnant (#4).I have 2 kids conceived on Clomid and I used the temping every morning and the predictors with Jackson.
I tried 6 months with him and did the predictor kit the last month I found a 3 or 4 pack at CVS for $4.99 on clearance.
This time I got pregnant on bcp's...what a shocker after having 2 fertility babies. We were shocked at first but very happy now

I'm with Amy...I like epidurals to much to have a home birth.

Good luck and Keep us posted.
