I know where you are coming from. I do daycare all day til 5. Non stop all day. My own kids know at 5pm when last daycare kid is not even in car I take a shower. I started this about 6 months ago. At beginning they would come in and bother me, talk to me, sing to me, etc. They are 5&9 by the way. Finally I told them no answering phone, door, or touching each other. IF they fought no dessert or snack after dinner. since then I get a peaceful 10 minute shower, which wakes me up, makes me feel better and then off to start dinner, and play play play.

I wake up at 6am. I lay down at 8pm with dd who is 5. She cannot go to sleep without me, and in mist of me laying with her I tend to fall asleep, so no me time after they are in bed either! Right now she is tossing turning talking to me. Ugh. Just go to sleep!!
