    Smile Zachary's first umbrella

Today we bought Zachary his first umbrella. He got to select it himself and chose Bob The Builder. LOL
He couldn't wait to open it and hold it. What a perfect day too because it rained. hehe
Now there is just something about a small child, rain, and a little umbrella that is so beautiful to me. It made my entire day just to see him so happy.
Do any of you moms remember your child's first umbrella? Is it me? LOL I am feeling so sappy about it, but it was just so adorable I was almost in tears.

It is a special moment.... I remember when my oldest got his first umbrella. He wanted a strawberry shortcake one and I had to talk him into getting a he-man one.... He still got soaking wet but loved his umbrella.....

You have every right to be sappy. I remember when dd got her first one and she was so excited. She kept opening and closing it and wanted it to rain. When it finally did rain, she forgot to take her umbrella with her and she cried non stop until we got home and she could get it and try it out.

She now has a couple of umbrellas and loves to use them in the rain.

Julia actually just got her first umbrella in the mail the other day. It's the Mickey and Minnie umbrella from the Huggies rewards program. I'm afraid she'll poke her eye out, so we haven't let her use it yet. (She's 1 and 1/2) However, she loves her Mickey backpack that also came.

Nope, not just you. I think little ones and their tiny little umbrellas are just the sweetest things.

My dks were both very excited about their first umbrellas. They still love selecting their umbrellas, and they are now 5 and 7!

My dd's first umbrella was a clear one with dancing dinasours around the rim! It seemed so big and she seemed so little!

My son's was bright red with fire engines!

AmyBoz...that was always are greatest fear as well.

Oh, and my sweet son always offers to share his umbrella with me, even if it means in his attempt to share that he gets soaked.

Great post, Sara! I am sure it brought back such warm memories for alot of us here!

Bet Zachary looks just as sweet as can be! yvonne

Pregnant=sappy! It's a shame our little ones grow so fast. I wish I could bottle Courtney and keep her at this age. She is a blast and I am enjoying every minute of her. I'm glad you're enjoying Zach, too!
