Smile Proud of my nephew, wanted to share

Drew my sister's son. He had cancer twice and was given 8 months to live. Now 9 years later he got a full ride to Mizzou to play wheel chair basketball. He had leukemia when he was 6 (his little brother was a perfect bone marrow match) and then cancer in his knee a year later they think due to the cancer treatments. His leg was amputated and reattached backwards with his ankle as his knee joint. He has been through many, many surgeries in his life. He is a great kid with an incredible attitude and a beautiful heart. He has been cancer free for I think about 8 years now. Click on the video icon to see the full news story.

Sounds like a terrific guy. Here's hoping all the evil luck is in his past, and he remains healthy and happy. It stinks when kids have to go through so much.

Wow! That's a kid with some persistence on getting healthy. He sure has been through a lot and it's always great to see children with success stories such as his.

I'd be proud of him too.
