Default Activities for 3 year old

Hello everyone, I am trying to think of some good activities to enroll my daughter in for when I am off work and she is out of daycare/school. I am a single father and she is three years old, so beauty pageants would probably be out of the question, I will let her mother tackle that one. Any ideas??? I have thought about swimming lessons and things of that nature, but would like her to be in something more consistent, swimming lessons only last a month.

What about checking out the YMCA? They might have some good programs for after school activities. Also, check if your area has a "baby gym." There are a lot of those here and they offer all kinds of classes, exercise, play, music, even cooking classes for kids ages 1-5. I think for most of those you would have to be with your child.
    Hope that helps!

This would be a great idea! I know when my DD was 3 she loved to try to do gymnastics. I think the music/dance would be a great activity. And cooking is fun for any 3 year old.

Good luck finding something! It's nice to see a dad that thinks about these type things.

We enrolled DD in dance/gymnastics when she was 3. It was lots of fun.

She also joined the children's choir at church. That one was easy on the checkbook since it was free.

Does your city have an Armory? If so they offer great classes of all kinds for all ages. Art, gymnastics, ballet, piano, etc...

I was going to suggest the YMCA as well. Be sure to ask about any discounts they have!

My kids all did the dance/gymnastics too. (even my boys, who enjoyed it, excelled in it, and used it in sports later on)

Check out the library -- sometimes they have reading/story times for that age level. . .as does some book stores (Barnes and Noble does it in our area)

Home Depot and Lowe's sometimes have children's workshops (not a consistent thing, but good for a blah day)

Looks like all my suggestions were taken.
look at gocitykids.com. They list things by city, you may stumble across something there.
