    Default Mom to 39!!!!

I've been trying to remeber to post the link to this blog for a long time. For any of you that have adopted special needs children or are fostering, or are thinking of fostering, here's a blog for you. I am truely inspired by this woman. Obviously most people would NEVER attempt this number of children but her posts give a realistic view of the frustrations and achievements of being a foster/adoptive parent to special needs children. Her's just happens to be amplified by the number of children.

    Happy Reading!!!

Thanks for the link. I read her two most recent entries and really enjoyed them. I had to bookmark her so I can go back and read her entire blog from start to finish.

When she talks about the woman she's spoken to in Ohio, I think I know who she's talking about. There's a family who lives in my neck of the woods who has 28 (last count) kids and adult kids, and most are adopted, special needs. I went to high school with the dad of the family. They are in the paper all the time, and an agency (can't remember) built them a huge house. Might have been Habitat for humanity. They helped build it.

Wow! I'm not sure that I could do it, but I'm glad to hear stories about people that can raise very large families.
