We usually try and watch all of the new Disney movies and Family movies when they come out on DVD. I can't wait until the next Madagascar comes out. That was a family favorite, along with Shrek.

We have pizza and movie night every Friday (or most of them) so we've seen alot - lol - of course all the disney cartoon ones, Shrek 1-3, Swiss Family Robinson, Pippi Longstockings, Willy Wonka, James and Giant Peach, Planet Earth series, Muppet movies and tv series, Anne of Green Gables, Chitti Chitti Bang Bang (its long - needed two nights), Bedknobs and Broomsticks, Mary Poppins, Sound of Music, Dr Doolittle (old one), Milo and Otis.

I look on Amazon for ideas and find ones that I hadn't heard of or thought of then order them from the library. HTH

My kids' current favorites are: Cars, Cinderella, Madagascar, Monsters Inc. , Curious George, and during the holidays we love Polar Express, The Charlie Brown holiday programs (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Halloween), How the Grinch Stole Christmas (original).

My mom loves to take my son to the kids movies when they come out.

We love the Mummy Movies, Indian Jones and Jurrisic Park one.
Since my kids are older 15 and 23 those are the ones we watch over and over together.
If its just me and my daughter Under the Tuscan Sun or French Kiss will stop us both.
We watch very little real tv but lots of videos over and over.
Have collected a bunch at yard sales and flea markets.

Gonna drag out my favorite Halloween ones this weekend. I love the Charlie Brown Hoilday movies.

Although we do not watch many movies as a family now that my kids are older, my daughter and I love to get together and watch chick flicks every so often. Some examples are Ever After, Never Been Kissed, and she will watch some Jane Austen with me.

Sounds of Music, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Wizard of Oz - the witch and the flying monkeys always scared me as a child.

Maybe we're just a bit twisted, but our favorite movies to watch together include, "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" and "The Blues Brothers". Then again, my son is 12 and my daughter is 20.

My son enjoys introducing me to films that I have not seen whenever he comes home from college, and comments that all the girls love that he has seen all the "chick flicks" from their high school years (after all - I AM a chick!). We have laughed at having inadvertently picked up some pretty raunchy films at the rental gallery, but the one that I always go back to to reminisce about childraising is Milo and Otis. That, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and The Lion King were the first videos that I bought, and we watched them each over a dozen times. Others came into our lives over the years, and The New Guy almost reaches the same level of fondness, but those first few stick with me as a very special kind of experience. They're what got us through chicken pox!
