    Default Who's Nuttier--your family or theirs (SO/DH/Wife)??

Especially at the holidays--who's family makes your life weirder, crazier, or more complicated?

Is being with his family like being in a parallel Universe?

Does your family make you wish you were hatched instead of born?

What would he/she say about it? Who do THEY think is weirder?

For me, it is HIS family, definitely. And he would say so, too.

His, they are far up into the clouds sometimes, and until this recent economy drop they had money and blew credit on spending on things to spoil, now their standards cannot be met as far as expectations are concerned!
They are distant to anyone outside their "circle" and just plain wierd lol
    I love them dearly though!
My family (except my drunkard sister) is pretty down to earth and normal!

To be quite honest I couldn't say.
My entire family could be neighbors with his entire family in the nut house.
In any case both families drive us both nuts.
I believe that DH would answer in exactly the same way.

I could give you examples that would make you tear out your hair but I won't do that to you - just believe me - nuts - all of them.

Dh's family is crazy in a fun way, while my family is crazy in more of the certifiable way...

BOTH in equal parts!!!! That's one reason we don't spend Christmas with either side of the family. They all think we're nuts too.

My DBF's family is saner than mine. His brother's wife is quite obnoxious and I can only deal with her in very small doses . . .like 1/2 hour increments total.

My family is by far more obnoxious as a whole. My controlling parents, my oh-so-perfect sib, my "I hate your guts" sib, my sib who may or may not show up or call, my sib that believes that her pets are really and truly part of the family and why didn't they get an invite, etc, etc.

My ex-husband's family tops mine lock, stock and barrel in the insane department and I know they have the certificates to prove it.

Regardless, DBF and I do not hang with either's family for the holidays anymore.

My poor DS - He gets ALL the good stuff. . . he actually has a pretty good sense of humor about the whole thing. He figures he missed out on all of those "good" genes.

Dh's family is WAY beyond normal. They are all self absorbed and well, I better not say anything else.

    Well lets see..
His grandmother who raised him thinks she can see the future and when her predictions are wrong she claims to have never made the prediction in the first place She is also on husband number 3 and we are convinced she killed #1 and #2. Doesn't look well for #3. All of the husbands had names that began with B so we call them B#1, B#2 and B#3. Oh yeah!.. B#3 doesn't know about B #2 so we aren't allowed to talk about him.
On the other hand my dad is extremely OCD and he makes my mom walk around with a towel to wipe up any snow, water, pretty much anything wet... off of the floor constantly. He also measures the sides of the couch from the wall to make sure it is completely even.
