Any Quirky Traditions in Your Household?
Wow - over 30 days since anyone posted something in the family fun forum.
What does that say about us?
Anyway - I was wondering if anyone else on here has any quirky little traditions you do to make life fun day to day.
Simple things - like our little Blue Man. A few years ago I stuck this little guy in some strange place in the kitchen to see how long it would take til somebody found him. It took a few months - and after he was found I decided to hide him somewhere else.
Now its just a game - Find The Blue Man. He rides the faucet, hangs on the fridge, sits inside a glass in the cabinet - hangs from the curtains - u name it.
Its silly, but hey - there isn't enough silliness in the world these days .
Here's where Blue Man is hiding today :

I think that that is a great idea TooSweet. We have a family fun night when we sit around play games, watch cartoons, etc.Other than that we are not quirky. Just a little plain here.

That's cute..... If I hide it at the bottom of the laundry hamper I'd be the only one to ever find him......

~What a fun game! We're not so quirky here for what we do do but more for what we don't do. My kids have never even had a Happy Meal, been on any amusement rides, or attended any 'activity', lol! My daughter has a quirky obsession with Elmo character underwear. She went through a stage of wearing them on her head and now she's wearing them over her pants. Young children bring the fun into every day without traditions but I'm gonna steal your blue man idea for when they're older.

DH and I have one where I have an old pic of him from the 80's with longer hair, laying on the floor with his dog on him. (I joke that what he was doing is illegal. - it's really innocent). I put that up around the house every now and then and see how long it takes him to notice. sometimes it takes weeks!

Yeah, our family is quirky and I could write a book on it! So I identified totally with the Blue Man.
One of the things we do is leave random love notes all over. Hubby likes to write little love notes on the bathroom mirror with one of those glass-writing markers. I'll write a note on a napkin and fold it so that he finds it at breakfast. No children at home now, but we used to put notes in homework, lunches, gym bags, trumpet cases, and later, in car seats or taped to the steering wheel. It was just a little way of saying "I love you".
You know, I LOVE being a part of a quirky family!Spiritual:
"You are fearfully and wonderfully made." Please... respect life.
Financial:
Debt free, hoping to stay that way!
MY BLOG: glorybug.wordpress.com

3. Lose weight. Hopefully 5# this year. (9.5 pounds right now! Yay, Me!!)
4. Continue to be looking for how God wants to use me this year.
