do you say things to your children you said you never would.
my friend and i were talking the other day and i said, I swore when i was young I would never say to my children. "BECAUSE I SAID SO!" OR "BECAUSE I TOLD YOU TO THAT IS WHY". But i do. funny how you think your parents are so mean until you become a parent. so what do you say to your children you said you never would??

This is what my husband says and he said he would never..
"don't make me get up" and "don't make he stop this car"
There are lots of them but when you become a parent I think it just happens..

"Because I told you to thats why" thats my worse one, I'm sure I have more but I think I'm famous for that . By the way I also swore I'd be more patient than my parents, and I haven't always been that either.

Oh man there are just too many to list but I will try-
" do you think I am made of money"
"you better hush before I give you something to cry about" ( once in a blue moon but I have said it before)
"because I said so, that's why"

I always say, "because I said so that's why!" I laugh because I sound just like my mom. That's a scary thought.

I always tell my children "this country is a democracy, this family is not, you live in a dictatorship and I am the dictator, I make all the rules and you follow them" I really am not but I have always told them that
. I also tell them that I do not have to be fair, there is nothing in the Mommy handbook that says anything about being fair, I am the Mommy and that is the only reason I need (I tell them this when I am trying to tell one of them to a chore that they don't think they should have to do
) YIKES I sound so mean, too bad I am really a pushover with them
.
Blessings,
Kathy
