Well don't count on your child getting a portion of SSD just because the parent does. I only get $397 a month and my children were not able to get anything because "we were over the family allowance". My family makes less than $45,000 a year. How little do you have to make to be under "the family allowance"? The whole system is messed up!

I got a letter today from Social security, my daughter will be recieving $540 a month until she turns 18. WOw, she's going to have a nice savings
