Exclamation Jersyegirl - thinking of you today

I tried sending you a pm but your box is full and I've been thinking of you often and wondering how things are going. How is your little one adjusting? How are things going with her cast?

Just wanting you to know your in my thoughts as you take care of this little one.

    hugs cj

Thanks, we had an incredible day today! We got the cast off!! 4 hours in the hospital, we both cried!! We have both had a cold so we arrived cranky, and it only got worse, hot, crowded etc. They had a resident cutting off the cast, he dared to tell me it doesn't hurt-I have had dozens of orthopedic surgeries and casts and I needed to tell him that yes it does and when I was done with my explanation his cocky little attitude had changed quite a bit. After it was all over she first realized she could hug-really hug and feel hugged back-the cast had covered within inches of her neck, so we hugged for a really long time. She found her feet in the car! After not seeing them for 6 weeks they were like great new toys. Then we went to Target and bought sneakers and party shoes and tights-ok and 3 new outfits-and she came home and showed Daddy her leg. I put her on the carpet and it took about 1/2 hour for her to roll over, then sit up. She tried a basic combat crawl, but didn't seem too comfortable with it. I called her day care and warned them that hurricane Elida will be blowing in tomm. I was able to give her a bath tonight, she loved it! We are all exhausted! I don't know what I'm gonna do when she heads back to her real momma, can't think that far in advance now. I called my mom tonight to apologize for putting her through everything I did with my casts and stuff, she always held my hand when they were getting cut off, now I know it hurt her as much as it hurt me. Girls, so many of you have pm'd me about this and I need for all of you to know how I appreciate it.

I'm so glad to hear things are going okay. You've been so much on my mind. Glad to hear she finally got her cast off.

When I fostered, I always just took one day at a time and never tried to think about when the little ones would go back to their mamma. It was so much easier that way for me anyways.

Were all here for you when the day comes, remember that okay. hugs cj

It's so heartwarming to know there are still good people like you girls, willing to sacrifice your own emotions for the well being of a child. God Bless you.

Oh my goodness, how exciting. Yes it will be a fun Christmas.

I remember our first little one who was around for Christmas and we did exactly the same thing. We bought the most beautiful purple velvet dress and I still have it, because she became our dd.
