I need your prayers
My DD, age 15, stole my son's car Friday while he was at work. He had just gotten insurance on it and had not even driven it except home from the dealership. She took it and drove it to school and then at lunchtime she and another girl left school and were driving too fast down a dirt road and flipped the car. Fortunately even though neither of them had a seatbelt on, they were not injured, they managed to crawl out of the car and walk 2 miles back to school, DD told the principal that the screen door had been caught by the wind and had hit her in the head and that was how she had cut her head (her only injury was a small cut on her hairline over her forehead) the principal believed it and called me and told me that she was giving them "in school suspension" for leaving school without permission. I did not know what had happened at that point, but after school DD called me at work and asked me if DS had came home and gotten his car, I said no but I called DH and ask (DH and DS work together) if he had gotten it, DH figured it out right away so I called DD back and confronted with what we thought which was that she stole the car, took it and wrecked it and left it somewhere. She denied it at first, but I called the other girl and she admitted what had happened. I then called DD back and she admitted it then told me she was going to kill herself, that she did not do anything right and she just wanted to die, I called DH because he was closer and had him rush home, he walked in and she had a knife in her hand, it took my DH and DS to hold her down and take the knife out of her hand, she is 90 pounds and 5 foot tall and he is 240 and 6 foot tall and DS is 150 and 5 foot 10 inches. We placed her in an inpatient facility and they are working with her now, she is having group and individual counciling. I am just a basket case, she will be coming home in 5-7 days with outpatient counciling afterwards. I just keep praying for God to show me what to do.
I am sorry that this is so long, but I have not really talked to anyone other than DH about all of this and I guess I just needed to talk about it. I would really appreciate any advice that anyone can give me and all the prayers I can get.
Blessings,
Kathy

I have been through this kind of stuff with my second daughter. Just don't give up. I will keep you in my prayers, your daughter too. This will work itself out, Im sure she just "wishes" she was dead rather than have to face something like this there is a difference in 'wishing' and 'wanting'. Hope things get better, keep us posted.

Kathy I am so sorry that you are having to go through this. I wish you, your family, and your dd all the best. You and yours will be in my thoughts and prayers. If I may I'd like to give just a piece of advice. For sometone to say they are going to kill theirself and then give someone time to get to them, is actually a cry for help. Please don't give up on her and whatever you do, DON"T BLAME YOURSELF OR ANYONE ElSE! No one is to blame, no one is at fault. Just try to continue to love her the same.
