    Unhappy Baby Blues and Green

Some of you may know that I've been wanting another child. I love my DD so much and I am so glad she is in my life - but we all want to add to the family.

The Old Man and I have been 'trying' for 6 years. We decided to REALLY try. After a year of poking, prodding, charting etc... we decided it just wasn't in our future.

Tonight I was going through my Ravelry queue, and wiping away tears every time I came across a 'baby item'.

As I was clearing the queue... I got a text message from a really good friend of mine... they're having baby #6.

I am happy for them. I really am....
I just want to know -- why can't it ever be us??
I can't be out of money... I still have checks left!

I'm so sorry you're going through this, V. Have you considered adopting again?

I hear you. My DH have been trying for nearly 4 years.
I am excited to hear that friends and acquaintances are having babies. However, I wonder if it will ever be our turn.

I hear ya, also. We were 'infertile' for 6 years, too.

It's one of the biggest agonies....and no one seems to really understand what you're going through.

I worked in a doctor's office when I was going through this---you guessed it---pregnant women all over the place. Babies I gave shots to. It was hard.

Like Int'lmom, I feel for all who have been through this.

I'm so sorry...wish there were more to say that would actually help. Sounds like you have alot of love to give. Someone mentioned another adoption, is that possible? I read your homeschooling website. It's a beautiful journal.

It took us 6 1/2 years to concieve after our first ds. I had to "chart" both times. Also I had lost about 10 lbs both times right before I concieved. It took us 4 years to concieve our first son.
I was in tears many times when good friends would announce another addition to their families. I was glad for them, but it does hurt.
Try not to obsess and just have fun w/dh - but keep charting!

Thank you Niko for the compliment about our website.

For those of you who have asked. No, adoption is not possible... for a few reasons.

HUGS I am sorry you are going through this.
I do understand how it feels. I kind of get a nudge of yearning every time one of my friends tells me they are having another one.
