Name some silly opposite things about your SO that you share together
I like getting into cold sheets and he likes warm
I like flat pillows and he likes fluffy
I'm a Vegetarian and he loves to eat animals
He is Lutheran and I'm agnostic
He is horrible with finances and I'm good with them
He is a work a holic and I'm not
I deal with anxiety really bad and he can take the World of stress upon him
He says sorry before I ever will
He is cold blooded and I'm hot blooded
He can eat anything and not gain a pound and well...you know what happens to me
He has no patience for playing on the net and of course I like message boards
He has serious music talent in singing and the guitar and I wouldn't want to shorten anyone's life...just to try
He is a super social bug and the older I get, I'm an introvert(used to be a big extrovert, but life got to me)
He likes hanging out with his family and I don't
He is a pro bowler and has two 300 hundred rings and a good day of bowling for me is to not land the 10 pound ball in the gutter, twice.
But it's all fun times shared.

Had to laugh over the bowling thing. While DH isn't a professional he is VERY good and may have went that way if he'd stayed single when he would've started out. After MANY years of putting other things first we decided bowling was something we could aford at this stage and we joined a mixed league. I finally got my average up to 3 digits and my handicap down ti two as the seson winds to a close and after over a decade of not bowling his handicap is in the single digits and getting lower every week.
~ I LOVE seafood , he won't touch it.
~ French fries are his favorite food, I think -YUCK
~ I love to be moving (active things), he prefers mostly sedentary things (bowling being the exception)
~ He gets sick, ill, injured at the drop of a hat where I am almost never sick (however when I am it downs me good)
~ He is a HUGE extrovert. I'm a HUGE introvert.
~ He loves LOUD (even just watching TV). I love quiet.
~ I'm more of a minimalist neat freak and he is a SAVER.
~ He is a spender and I am a saver.
~ He has a fun, humorous, laid back personality and mine is more sedate and serious.

I have a few you already mentioned.
He loves seafood/fish-if it swims, slithers, or crawls out of water I won't touch it.
He is a musician(piano,guitar,drums,coronet,singer/songwriter)-I only wish I had his talent and sound pretty good with the music turned way up.
He has to be on the go all the time-I'm a homebody
He hates reading books and prefers magazine articles or internet reading- I can't read enough books
He likes spicy food-I like tasting my food
He wants the bed made before he gets into bed(he's the last one out of it)-I want the bed made when I get up. I see no point in making the bed and then climbing in it and messing it up 2 minutes later.
He likes Heavy Metal-I like Southern Gospel and country
He is a night owl-I'm an early bird

Let's see -
He's shorter, I'm taller
He's makes every opportunity into a good one, I'm just learning to.
He's a night owl, I'm an early morning person.
He thinks things through, I tend to react
He hasn't written a check in a million years, I take care of the finances.
He likes to spend, I like to save.
He likes to throw things away, I like to save, okay hoard things.Travel light. The baggage of the past can only hold you back.

She considers music her primary hobby, I barely care for it.
When I do listen, I mostly hear the lyrics and she doesn't hear them ever unless I point them out. (That's caused some funny moments)
I'm extremely even-keeled and she's extremely emotional.

- I am a very emotional person (I'll cry at a TV ad) he is the opposite.
- I get easily stressed - he doesn't have a stressed bone in his body.
- I can take the worries of the world on my shoulders, he is very laid back.
- He will try any food at least once - it took years for me to try (for example) oysters.
- He falls asleep within 2 seconds of his head touching the pillow, I always have to watch tv or read first.
- He can sleep anywhere and wake up rested and I have trouble in a different place for the first couple of nights.
- He throws away WAY too easily and I am a hoarder.
- He will say something and do another (example - to the kids - you HAVE to clean your rooms TODAY!!!! but not enforce it) - if I say to them you have to clean your rooms today, then I nag them till they do it.
While writing this and then reading it, I am amazed at how opposite we actually are. How have we managed to stay together and happy for more than 32 years.*Avril*

~He is a extrovert & I'm a introvert
~He likes to eat my home cooking & I like to eat someone else's cooking
~He has the radio on in the car & I crave the silence in the car. Same thing at home
~He IS NOT a bargin hunter & I'm a HUGE bargin hunter. If I didn't shop for gifts and put them away all throughout the year our gift giving bills would topple us. I learned that the hard way year 1 of marriage.
~He could take animals or leave them & I'd have a zoo if he'd let me. I prefer the company of animals over humans (a lot of the time) & he thrives on human interaction. I find animals to be far nicer then humans.
~He loves to study the Bible & my eye's glaze over when I try. I much prefer reading books by authors like Joyce Meyers
~He LOVES football and baseball & I could care less
~I'm artistic and creative. I've got an eye for colors, textures, styles. I can see art in the most unlikely of things and can make a piece of art that is worthy of sale & he is not artistic with the exception of woodworking. Of course his work fetches a much higher price then mine. We made a very good team on the props department for plays at church.
~I am a master decorator and can turn a hovel into luxury digs given the right materials. (okay, humble much? Sorry guys. LOL!) & while he appreciates the beauty of a well decorated room his strong suit would be adding architecture to a room, must be that degree in woodworking. The rest would be a mish mash of stuff with no real rhyme nor reason. He wants a say in the decor of our home, I let him believe he has one. LOL!
~He is musically gifted & I find it hard to keep the beat *sigh* I'm not the best dancing partner.
~He LOVES lists & I hate them. He makes lists and checks things off as he does them. I make lists and promptly lose them.
~He Loves being early, REALLY EARLY for everything & I much perfer to be on time. Made for some tense moments in the start of our marriage, arriving in separate cars fixed that!
~He is SUPER organized in household paper work. I'm more of a shoebox kind of girl. He takes care of all paperwork. LOL!
~He can and does read blueprints, and supervises, and builds buildings from the ground up. I have a devil of a time reading and following the instructions for a snap together shelf. Had a few kids toys that needed assembly that brought me to tears on occassion. Dang manufactors! Why things have to come in a zillion pieces I'll never know.~~~

Here's ours.. at least some of them:
- I like animals/pets, he likes them - but not at home as pets.
- I listen to country, he listens to anything but country.
- I like TV/Radio at an average volume level, he likes them really loud.
- I hate cooking, he is very creative/good at cooking.
- I don't like to spend money much, he spends it more freely.
- I'm American. He's not.
- I don't care much about cars. He likes them a lot.
- I am very laid back about my car's cleanliness. He is very opposite of me.
There's probably more, but those are what I can think of off the top of my head. Thankfully we have plenty other things in common!

My dh is an avid bowler and usually scores 200 or better. I am a 'horrible' bowler. Years ago, I overheard some teenage guys trying to make their friend feel better by saying, 'if you think you're bad, just look at that lady, now she stinks at bowling. They were talking about me.
Dh loves sports, I abhor them.
He's from NYC and I'm from a small Appalachian mountain town.
The list goes on and on.
We're basically polar opposites, but we share our faith in Jesus and we've been married almost 33 years, so it works for us.
