Teasing.

Last night at the craft fair i was informed by another parent that her daughter, (myriahs best friend) told her that the other girls in the class are teasing myriah about her accent. *defantly a mainer and being here with us we all talk like mainers at home.) So this morning i had a meeting at the school with her teachers, and i told them she was being teased, Well both the teacher and principal had conversations with the girls doing it. and they applogized. I think my major concern was that one of these girls lives 2 houses over from us and plays after school with her, *if she has no other friends to play with.*. What would you have done. I have personally taught them you don't tease ANYONE!!!!!!!!! EVER. my children also know if they tease anyone and i find out there will be Heii to pay!!!!!!!! and the ring leader of the teasing was a teachers daughter.
So do you think this was handled right or do you think i should have let it go???? what would you do???

I think children need to be taught tolerance at an early age. You did good Heaven!

Ignoring stuff like this doesn't make it magically go away. You did the right thing Heaven.

I would have done the same thing Heaven. Teasing can scar a person for life...I speak from personal experience

I agree too !!! You did the right thing...... These sort of things only get worse and more hurtful when left unattended....
I hope they are nicer now....
