When will (did) you allow your dd to have her ears pierced?
I am thinking 12 but maybe sooner because I think they are pretty responsible kids.

I took mine about 3 years ago when they were 8 and 10. It was fine and it was their decision. I never liked seeing babies with earrings.

I am also a baby person. My dd was six months and never thought twice about doing it. I think if you wait until they get older then they worry with them to much. My dd barely remembers when she has earrings in, she is so used to it.

We got Baylie's done when she was five. She wanted to do it. But they kept getting infected so we just took them out. So we'll let her get them done again whenever she wants to.

I pierced all my girls ears (I have 3 girls) by the time they were 6 weeks (some before) I did it myself as I have the proper equipment and I know how to do it. I think it is better that way as they don't 'play' with the ear rings and they don't become infected.
The boys also had their ears pierced (at their request) by the time they were about 3 years old.
However one of my girls (age 5) now won't wear ear rings. One of the boys (9) won't either. My other son age 16 took his ear ring out for years but has recently put it back again. And my daughter 15 now has 3 in each ear, she would also like her belly and eyebrow done but can't as she has had 3 strokes and takes Warfarin (a blood thinning drug) this has worked out to my advantage as I don't want them to have body piercings and I wouldn't really have a leg to stand on as I have loads LOL

My sil had my nieces done before she was 1. My sister hasn't had her daughters done yet and she is bugging her big time! I don't remember when my other 2 nieces had thiers done. But when I saw them in Oct for the younger ones wedding, she had 3 in each ear and the older sister has 2 in each ear.
