Default what do you think of PTSD??*updated finally got them.*

now that i have had some time to think about keiko really has me worried. i wonder if part of the problem (okay majority of it) is PTSD, I had it after my first husband tried to kill me but i was in such a fog for the first 18 months i don't remember much. she isn't sleeping, constant headaches, ect, I found out tonight that my nephew *few choice words there* has been pointing guns at her. I didn't have a clue about that one,*talk about guilt, god do i feel guilty* and ofcorse why would she not that is what her father did to me and totally tore our world apart.... I will be calling tomorrow and having my mother do something. anyone have any thoughts.

Heaven, please don't let this continue. Keiko will grow up and marry someone who treats her this way, too. I think you need to get out NOW! I am so worried about you and you children. Ok, I guess I finally said it. So now I will back off. Please be careful. I hope I didn't offend you in any way. Keep us informed!

Heaven I would be burning up the phone lines and not just to my mother either, I would be calling his parents too. I know Keiko wanted to stay in Maine, but not at the expense of her life!
My thoughts are with you and Keiko, please let us know how she is.

I wish i had his fathers phone number, i would be calling him they live in MN. Keiko and my nephew both lived with my parents. his parents have totally given up on the child. I can understand why too. He is horrendous. He went to his probation officer yesterday and isn't allowed back to my parents house. I am so Pi$$ed, last night if i had called i probably made matters worse that what they are. So he is gone now, but that is the last thing that that child needed. Expecally when my first husband did the same thing.

Keep trying Heaven. Do you have the phone number for Keiko's school? I would try there just to see if she is in school.

Been there done that. For me it was my second husband. I was in bad shape so I sent the children to "visit" their dad. It was the best thing for all of us. We have since relocated and no one talks of him. DH is wonderful and loving, but there are still times he gets a little frustrated. Thankfully, neither my DS nor DD10 has any memory of the man or the event.
Have you been in counseling at all (both of you I mean)? It takes a long time (It has been 10 years for me) but it gets better and is easier to deal with if there is a good support system. PM me if you want to talk.

Yes we have had therapy. I finally got them, they were home couldn't hear the phone ring. something was wrong with it. Anyway this happened then she finally told several days later, the guns are gone, *thank god* he isn't allowed near the house and if he comes back they call 911! what a mess. The probation officer finally listened to them, they have been telling them since last summer and finally apparently they found the straw to break the camels back. took long enough. *he beats his grandfather up which would be bad enough but my father had major bypass surgery a few years ago and he has never really recovered!) and swears at my parents constantly!!!!!!!!!* If one of us *my brothers or I are there we can usually get him to leave them alone but when i am here in MT, his father is in MN and my other brother is in VA. we really can't do anything. I personally think keiko needs to be back in therapy. I told my mother that tonight. She said keikos biggest problem is she misses us. But i know that the gun thing even though it wasn't loaded had to bring back some memories. Thanks so much for listening!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
