I found the coolest potty trainer!
I know my dd has a little ways to go before she'll need to start (she is 17mths) but I found this potty training set on clearance at target..it was only 4.98 (half off) and I just couldn't resist since i've been worried about where/when i'd get one of these..
I came home and realized it's a three in one set, it includes a step stool which also can be used as a storage container later...It's got the potty training potty itself, and then the toilet ring trainer ...
I can't wait to start her potty training now
but....the thought of cleaning it out after each use is a little un-nerving

I know how exciting potty training can be! I didn't use a trainer so I didn't have to clean one out, but good luck!

My DD is 3 in February and isn't potty trained!
She knows when she wants to go and tells you as soon as she has but she will not go near the toilet OR a potty.
I've had kids that won't sit on the toilet and kids that won't sit on the potty but never BOTH!
I tried leaving the nappy off and saying we ran out and she pee'd on the floor and cried. I tried bribing her to no avail and we have been trying not making a deal out of it, waiting for her to be ready, she is very happy with this one and still in nappies!!!
She also nearly had to see a speach therapist because she didn't say ANYTHING at 2 years old, when she finally spoke she came out with whole sentances! My health visitor says she is stuborn and will do everything on her own terms.
Oh Great! - Can't wait for her to be a teenager

When I trained DD , I used a trainer from target that sounds similar. I will need to get another, my DS is almost 2 and it's time to begin thinking of that again. I told XDH ? that since I trained the girl he could train the boy...same equipment. LOL. Bev, try putting your DD in terry panties with plastic panties over. Diapers wick the wetness away, panties don't. Maybe the discomfort will encourage her to train. Plan on doing a lot of laundry. This is what I did when I had difficulties with DD. I don't know if this is what did it or if it was the fact that i' d stopped working and was home with her all the time.

My girls were both potty trained at 3 years old,so really,I haven't even thought of trying with Jackson yet. He'll be 2 in April,so maybe this summer I'll see what he'll do lol I hate to even think of buying diapers for TWO!!!
Right now he has no idea what it is. if we ask him if it stinks,he raises his shirt and points at his belly button lol

I'm glad to hear my ds (who's almost 3 1/2)isn't the only pain when it comes to potty training. He is just so friggin' lazy. If I leave him bare butt- he'll use the potty to pee everytime. When it comes to pooping- he'll run right past the bathroom and go poop on the floor in his room. If I put underwear or training pants on him- he'll go in his pants everytime and not even care his socks are soaked with pee or his crack is literally packed with crap. I'm about ready to just lock him in the bathroom and let him out when he firgures he's not a baby anymore.
