We had my sisters service last night
It was a nice service but as you can imagine very emotional. My sister Missy & I clung to each other often trying to get through it together. It was very hard especially when the pastor kept talking about my sis by name & me knowing I'll never see her again. We made a memory board (it's a magnetic picture framed board) that was full of pictures of her so all who came could see her as she was. The flowers, the service and friends were wonderful. Most of the people there were also at my brothers service.
Her young son came and what a wonderful young man he is. He is the best thing she ever did & I'm so glad she left a part of herself behind.
Today I'm going to stay at my sister Missys house because she has her back surgery in the morn & I'll be taking care of her kids. I know she is so scared to go through this. We are unsure how much pain & discomfort she'll have and how long her recovery might take. We hope this surgery will give her back her life. Her kids are scared too. They are afraid that something might happen to their Mom and are really going to miss her when she's in the hospital. I'll be there to reassure them as much as I can that everything will be alright. Please think good thoughts for my Sis as she goes though this. Thanks a bunch.
I don't know what else to say except that I am very sad and very glad to have friends like you to care for me.Hugs all.~*Darlene*~
