    Unhappy Need some advice

My ds is hitting kids at daycare...when asked why he replies "Don't know".

It's the same kid everytime. First it happened when they were on the slide at the playground..he elbowed him in the jaw.. Then today at nap time he up and punched him in the face.

I'm kinda worried because the kid ds keeps hitting is the son of his daycare teacher. (some reason this daycare allows parents to have their own children in the same room as them)...

Could the other child be starting it and the teacher not seeing it?

Or perhaps the teacher treats her child differently and this is causing jealousy problems for your son.

(some reason this daycare allows parents to have their own children in the same room as them)...
Having been in the day care business for 5 years this is not a good idea. This teacher may be showing favoritism to her own child without even realizing it. Is it possible for your son to switch rooms? I'd definitely let someone know that you don't agree with their policy. The centers here allow your children to come but they have to be in another room with another teacher. Allowing you to visit on your lunch break only.

I agree. I think I would check into your son moving into another teacher's class.

So today when I went to pick ds up, they suggested we start bringing him in earlier everyday.

Which wouldn't be so bad if they didn't want to go back to full time rates! THey say he isn't getting enough socialization with the other kids, because he gets there at 10:30..plays for half an hour then they have lunch and nap time at 11:30 until almost 3!!!!!

Also if dh was working normal hours. He currently goes into work at 3pm and gets home around 12-1am... If I had my way ds wouldn't go to daycare until 2pm. IMHO his time with his daddy is way more important then socialization with other kids, and maybe that's a bad way to think of it. But I do take him to the park on the weekend where he plays with other kids quite well..
