    Talking Describe your kids

Tell us about them. Are they shy, outgoing, into sports, love to read. What are your kids like?

Ds#1 - is big time into sports. Being a savant in stats, he loves watching and reading anything about sports. His favorite books are books are NHL hockey and anything book that has stats in regards to hockey. He also loves basketball. He isn't very outgoing and in fact is very laid back. He gets up with a smile on his face and goes to bed with a smile on his face.

Ds#2 - is strong willed, has a temper and yet has a smile that will light any room. He loves music.

Dd - is very shy and I always say is going to be our designer. She loves to design things, from quilting to scroll sawing and anything inbetween and she knows exactly how she wants to do it. She is very compassionate and loves, loves animals of any kind but her all time favorite is cats. She loves music also.

    Tell us about your kids.

Well, he has blue eyes, but he's cross eyed. He is very hairy, but it is as soft as silk. He isn't potty trained yet, but he does go in his box. He likes to play with his mommy and his favorite food is tuna....okay, he's my cat! But he is like my kid! Sorry, I couldn't resist! LOL!
I hope to someday have "real" children that I, too can talk so lovingly about and with pride as you, CJ. Thanks for letting us know about your children!

DS and DD (twins) they will be 2 next month. They are one momment little toddler terrors the next they are wanting to give hugs and kisses. DD is a combination of a girly girl and a tomboy that loves to do anything with her daddy. DS is a very sensitive little guy that loves to explore and check out everything around him.

DS #2 Is a very happy baby. Learning to crawl and trying all sorts of new things. He is giggly and smiles all the time. He really only gets mad when he is overly tired.

LOL Theresa. at least yours doesn't keep you up all night.

Keiko- My Demon as i like to call her, loves to read, she has long curly hair, she just loves everything and everyone, she really is a good child. I miss her more than anything! she is going to be 16 in less than a month. so she is so typical a teenager. she and i still battle but she is defantly getting ready to do the college thing and has decided she wants to have a elephant sancuary (sp?) after college. she is also going to have a resturant to pay for the elephants. she has a very dry sense of humor.

Roman- very quiet, loves his video games and beating up his sister. He isn't into too many sports though next year he wants to play football. (loves watching them expecally golf and the pats.) loves to joke and always is telling me one., he loves to read also. he is just starting the teenager thing.

myriah who we call squirt she is the most sensitive thing on earth, cries at the drop of a hat, and still loves her mumma. and tells me so... she refuses to rat out anyone but her brother. loves animals cats are also her favorite and have been since she could walk. she will do anything asked without a fight.

over all i have wonderful children.

Dd(9) is into science. She has a chemistry set, a microscope, and now has a hydroponics set. She loves to read. She is the sweetestmost beautiful person, usually. She can be lippy at times. She is growing up far too fast, and has started to take an interest in her hair, refuses to kiss me in front of others, etc.

Ds(almost2) is a ham. He is always laughing and trying to make others laugh. He likes to peak around the furniture and say boo. For the most part, he is very laid back. He does have quite a stubborn streak and can throw quite the fit. He is really into balls. He gives the sweetest baby hugs and kisses (open mouthed, he hasn't learned to pucker).

Both of my kids are wonderful. Motherhood is the funnest, hardest, and most rewarding thing I have ever done. I am being allowed the previledge of raising a person. Nothing else that I could ever do would be more important.

My dd who is 15 is the smarter person I know! She is kind and compassionate and very giving. She is a sophmore in high school and wants to go into some type of science in college. She is really leaning towards forensics and would like to either do crime scene investigation or she is also interested in law and being a detective. I know she will stay in the science area. She has been in Girl Scouts since she was in Kindergarten and she is a docent at our local nature center. She does a lot of volunteer work, at the nature center, at our grade school-she tutors 5th graders and she also volunteers at a nursing home. She loves all of it!!!

Ds just turned 9 and he is my smiley!! He is also very loving and affectionate. He is all boy though. Loves to play and can play all day long. He loves to play baseball and wants me to let him play hockey this year!! He loves to collect Yu Gi Oh and Pokemon cards, has a huge collection of hot wheel cars and legos too!! He is finally really liking school this year which I am thrilled with, he loves math. He says that when he grows up he wants to live accross the street from me and I can cook for him even though he will be married. I can come over anytime unless his wife is in her pj's!!!

I thank God everyday for letting me be their Mom, I am truly blessed!!!!!!!

DS#1 is a TAG student and waaay ahead in most of his studies. socially, he is an average 10YO. He can be very lippy and definitely has the "artistic" temperment (read as very dramatic). He is also very loving and caring. he is still a Mama's boy even though he's 10 1/2. He likes anything that has to do with graphs, charts, maps, etc.

DS#2 is a very bright, artistically gifted child. He's very sweet too, but isn't as empathetic as DS#1. When he find something of interest (right now it's cameras!) he grabs it with the ferocity of a tiger after raw meat! He will learn everything he can about a topic and will drive us nuts with questions about said topic. He can draw nearly anything (takes after his mom).

DS, James is 36 and still very close to me. He is married and has two darling little girls. He is a very funny person and cracks everyone up! Always been very low keyed and easy going. He works nights in the warehouse for Home Depot. He and wife, Laureen, and their girls, live about thirty miles from us.

DD, Dana is 32. She is a 911 dispatcher and was dispatcher of the year a couple of years ago. She has always been "Daddy's girl". They are still very close. Dana is married and has a home with land not far from us. She and DH, Mike, have two daughters. She loves animals and has goats, dogs, cats, a pot bellied pig ducks and chickens.
We are very proud of both of our children. We spend a lot of time with our children and grandchildren.

DD1 (almost 14) is giving us grey hair with this teen stuff. She's very opinionated and miserable most of the time. She is into aliens, Big Foot, ghosts, any kind of weird stuff. She also feels very strongly about being non-predjudice. She feels everyone is the same and shouldn't be judged based on race. She loves animals, art, and was recently in the drama club play. She wants to be an animal photographer and travel around the world.

DD2 (11) is very affectionate and loving. She is funny without trying and is like a second mom to her baby sister. She is a straight A student without trying and likes to play basketball. Next year she wants to try her hand at field hockey.

DD3 (13 1/2 months) is my last baby. She is personality-plus..always babbling and laughing and just LOVES her daddy. She just recently started dancing, which looks like Elaine on Seinfeld trying to dance. She loves her big sisters and is spoiled rotten. Her favorite show is Bear in the Big Blue House, and the Wiggles.

DD#1 is 9 and she is my pleaser. Hates being in trouble and most of the time it just takes a stern look to get her to listen. She would live on a softball field if we let her and she does very well at school.
DD#2 is my trouble maker. She is always into everything, testing her boundries, and always speaks her mind. She is struggling in school, but tries so hard.
DS#1 is very sweet and loving. He loves anything to do woth a car and is very energetic.
DD#3 is the baby. She is stuborn and spoiled rotten to be nice. She refuses to use the potty and still sleeps in my room, but that is okay. She loves to sit on my lap and she can be the baby for as long as she wants. She is the most like me.

My oldest son is a very social person. He is charming and very outgoing. He and his wife just became parents almost three months ago. He is a loving father and very good with the baby. He is very ambitious and has a lot of common sense. He loves art, and science and loves football!
DS#@ is shy and reserved. He is a man of great integrity and has a keen sense of fairness. He got married last September and is proving to be a very good husband. His wife has been having terrible Migraines, lately and he is right there for her, taking loving, gentle care of her. That makes me so proud! He is a chess and sports *junkie*.
DS#3 is an artist. He has loved to draw, since he was a toddler. He is very sensitive and caring. He is very good to his friends and family. He is hard working. At 17(almost 18) he works three part time jobs. He's interested in computers, of course art and music. He also likes Hockey.
Ds#4 is my "baby". He is interested in video games, computers and science. He loves school and has had perfect attendance for several years. He is in the top 10 % of his class in high school. He is so sweet. He goes out of his way, to not hurt people's feelings. He loves animals and wants to adopt every stray we encounter!
The quality that makes me most proud of all my kids is that they are all committed Christians. God has truly Blessed me and dh with great kids!

First Danielle your dd#1 and my dd sound a lot alike when she was that age..lol.

My dd(18) is at that stage where boyfriend comes first and mom comes last. She is an extremely intelligent young woman with her own sense of self. She believes in dressing in how she feels comfortable the last time she showed up she had on a black dress and orange and white striped panty hose with a pair of mary janes..lol. The first thing out of mouth was you look the witch that the house fell on(Wizard of Oz)..LOL. In high school I don't think I can remember a single day single day she wore an outfit that matched.

She was in the art club, drama, debate(boy can she argue) and hated math. She wants to go into interior design but wants to take massage therapy first so she can pay for college herself.

She also thinks we have to adopt all the strays especially the cats, I think her dad has about 10 dogs and 15 cats right now because of her.

But even with all her quirks she is a wonderful girl and will be an even better woman, whatever she decides to do.

Great thread! What a joy to read all the wonderful things you all have to say about your children.

Ds#1 will be 19 in a little more than a month. He is a very outgoing young man who always thinks of others. When one of his friends is going through a rough time, he is always there for them. He is a very loyal friend. He is in his second year of college working towards a career in computer science. Music is also a big part of his life. He taught himself how to play the guitar. His "baby" is his new $900 electric guitar. He plays for our church's worship team and has being asked to play at other churches as well. He loves to keep busy and he doesn't need much sleep.

Ds#2 will by 16 tomorrow and is looking forward to driving. He does not have a lot of friends like his brother but he has a few very close friends. Though he does like to spend some time with his friends, he really likes, and needs, his alone time more. He is very thoughtful and often sees when something needs to be done and just does it without being told. He enjoys serving others. He's a total joy to be around and I can honestly say he hasn't gone through any of the teenage trials. He is involved with a local first aid group who offers their services to the community for all sorts of events. He has 800 volunteer hours so far. He has gone for the past 2 years, and will go this year again, to a leadership training camp. This is not an easy camp to go to; it's like boot camp. His older brother thinks he's crazy to put himself through this. He plays bass guitar in his spare time.

Dd, our baby, is 14. She is very outgoing and has many friends but probably only 2 or 3 very loyal friends. She is a typical girl who has her moody days and once you get to know her, she can talk a mile a minute. I saw a shirt once that says "Help, once I start talking I can't shut up". Very true in her case; although people who don't know her very well think she is very shy. She is also involved in first aid and as around 600 volunteer hours. She is also attending leadership training camp this year for her second year. Our family calls her "money bags" because she babysits quite a bit and makes good money doing so. She loves her music and as a large cd collection to prove it. She is very tender hearted. She really needs mother and daughter time to get a lot off her chest.

All three children are my bright shining stars!

My dd is going to be 2 in February and she amazes me every day. She is incredibly smart for her age. She speaks in full sentences with excellent pronounciation. She LOVES to read books. She "reads" by basically memorizing the books as we read them to her each night, and she spits it back out at us the next night. It's very cute, but offputting for people who don't realize she's not actually reading it. She loves people and kids. She says "hi" to everyone everywhere we go and people respond to her all the time. She is very well-behaved in public, however, can be a little devil at home with normal 2 year old stuff. She seems so advanced for her age that sometimes I forget that she's not even two. Yet, she's my baby and sometimes I think "I can't believe she's already going to be two!" She's a total drama queen and she knows it. She'll pretend to cry about something and when we say, "What are you doing?" she'll stop and say, "I'm crying," then go back to the fake tears. She has a great sense of humor and knows how to joke around with us and make us laugh. She is absolutely the light of my world and I thank God every day for her.
