Frustrated

The daycare that ds goes to is really starting to annoy me.

When I picked him up today I asked them why I didn't recieve an accident report yesterday. Another kid gave him a black eye. The teacher in his room swears she wrote one up and had it signed by the director, yet the director doesn't recall ever seeing it.

I asked how he was doing with the hitting as well. This is what I was told by the teacher, "For no reason at all he turned around and punched my son in the nose. I really don't think he is getting enough time here and that you really need to start bringing him in everyday, all day."

I've realized that the only kids ds has a problem with are the two teacher's kids. I am starting to wonder if it is possible that he is jealous and doesn't really know how to express it in words.

He sees these two kids getting hugged and snuggled and kissed all day, and he probably wonders why his mommy can't be there always playing with him.

Do you think that is possible?

I think it's very possible. Who gave him a black eye? One of her children perhaps? If it was, that may be why the director doesn't recall it. I'd be causing a fuss til I got a straight answer from someone. Go with your gut on this, do you feel your ds is getting the care and attention he deserves there? As I said before, having worked in the day care field for 5 years my inner alarm would be going off about this situation. Something is not right.
