My poor baby

My Ds #2 is 20 months old. He has the stomach flu, poor thing. He had been throwing up since around 2 yesterday afternoon. Poor man can't keep any water down even. Then the diarrhea started right before he fell asleep around 9. He just cries OWWWW. when I wipe him off his poor little butt is so sore. I am sleeping with him tonight in my boys room. Taking a small break, it's hard to get up every hour to the sound of a crying vomiting smelly baby. I am going to need some air freshener after this. Hopefully this will stop by 9 this coming morning or we need to take him to the hospital, he's dry heaving now too. Wish us luck,

Nealy~I hope he is feeling better. I hate when my children are sick....even the older ones. I guess our motherly instincts take over and we just want to nuture them.

I feel terrible for you. Having a sick child is the worst thing ever (even worse that a sick man). I hope your little one gets well really soon and this doesn't spread. Hang in there.

Nealy -

My son has had diarhea so much that I've almost become an expert. After you change him try putting some lotrimin and Neosporin +pain on his bum. It's really soothing and will get rid of the rash/soreness much quicker.

I know how hard it is to hear him cry when you are trying to clean him. Hope he feels better soon.

It has been over 24 hours and he is still pretty bad. He is just lying there right now. Hopefully he will keep his bottle down. Looks like another long night ahead. Thanks for all of your support.

Your poor baby, and mom to. Cornstarch also helps with the sore bottoms. My dd when she was little and got sick and couldn't keep much down we gave her fluids a few tbsp at a time. Good luck to you, and lets hope this passes quickly.

Bless both of you! Our youngest granddaughter had a stomach flu type illness a couple of weeks ago. It lasted about 48 hours. Hope your little one gets better very soon.
