How old were you kids when they were potty trained?
And was it difficult or simple? How did you do it?
Lauren was trained at 2 1/2.It wasn't all that hard, just took longer than I thought.WE started her in pullups(big mistake) and then started using the naked method(naked from the waist down)after the first time of peeing down her leg she went all the time.We did bribe her though with nickels cause it was right before our disney trip.SHe did very well untill we actually went to disney world and i let her wear pullups cause I didn't want to have to find a potty in somewhere I've never been while potty training. When she got back she said she wanted to where big girl panties and only had one accident since.
We are starting with Cannon slowly since he won't be 2 until April,he's goes potty every morning and that's about it,but he has shown and intrest in it a lot sooner.

Both DD's were 2 1/2, and I agree, Amanda, pull-ups DO NOT WORK! I used the rubber pants method. Worked for me!

I also used the naked method. DD would run around naked until she was about 4 though. She was trained at about 2 1/2. She was pretty easy.

I used the naked method with my first 4 children and they were all easy! (except at night) and I have DS#1 wet the bed until he was about 12, DD#2 still wets the bed regulary at 15, DS #3 was easy and DD#4 easy too
Now.......... DD#5 was 3 two days ago and is still in nappies day and night! She constantly tells me she is a baby, she doesn't want to be a big girl????? All my kids have either hated the toilet OR the potty - she hates BOTH
And she will NOT be bribed, Daddy said the other day if you sit on the potty I will go and get you some sweeties and she answered Auntie Hayley will give me money! LOL - I have NO ideas and neither does my health visitor! Wonder if they change nappies at school? LOL

My son, who is now 9, potty trained a little before 3. I did put a potty in the bathroom a littlie after he turned and he sat on it when I did but he wasn't totally interested until just before 3. I hated pull-ups too, so we just used underwear, and he hated that feeling. I used sticker charts for 5 potties in a row, we went to get ice-cream or something, then I gave him a treat every time he went on the pottie. It worked!! He's always been really good about not wetting the bed too, only on rare occasion.

Ha! Mine is 3 1/2 , could have poop up his back to his neck and doesn't care. I've done everything imagineable other than tie him to the potty. The naked method worked for a few months, until he started pooping everywhere but his potty. I had him in regular undies for a week since I do a ton of laundry with the baby anyways. He'd pee down his leg and didn't care. So right now, I have him in Pull Ups and I make him change himself. Sure, I help him clean himself when he poops (since I'd do that if he were to use the potty anyways)- but other than that if he wants to be a baby for the rest of his life, atleast I'm not the one changing his diaper. Good luck to you!!

Mine were about 2 1/2. I didn't use pull-ups either. I used "big boy" underwear. I let them pick out what they wanted. I remember one choosing batman underwear. I think one chose Barney underwear. I made them run around the house in just their underwear so it would be easier to pull down. When we went to town I put plastic pants over those for precautionary measures...lol!! I did think it was a losing battle at tiimes. The oldest of course was the hardest. He helped train the other two because they would always follow him into the bathroom..lol!

Daniel potty trained himself. He would stand at the bathroom door whenever anyone would go in and by 14 months was completely trained both #1 & #2. Dharma hated the feel of a wet or soiled diaper so she was quite easy to train by 16 months she too was trained. So cute to see a babe in "big boy" undies or ruffley panties. They were both easy for me Ryan on the other hand was about 22 months, and had "accidents" untill he passed, but it was all the tumors that were attached to his bowels and insides.

I am still potty training ds, 3, he is in big boy underwear as much as possible. I put him in diaper overnight and when we are going out for a long period of time. we use a sticker chart for when he does it in the potty, and we are hoping that we will soon be at 100% with the big boy pants!
