No date, folks!
Well, my date never called until last night (Friday night) saying he was out of town all week in Alberta on business and had to cancel Saturday (tonight) due to a family obligation. Not sure if he is blowing me off, or really had something to do. Oh well, I ended up having a great day anyway, lol! I went to Ikea and bought a wardrobe (my brother put it together for me), a rug, a lamp and I picked out my new couch! I will be getting it at the end of the month...don't worry folks, I am taking pictures so you will see before, during and after, lol! I am getting quite a cozy little place!
Anyway, so now I am listening to some Diana Krall music (jazzy), have some candles lit and enjoying a glass of wine...not too bad! Let's just say I am having a date with myself!
So, thanks again everyone for your encouragement and well wishes, you don't know how much it means to me to have you all behind me.
I'll keep you posted if there is ever a date, LOL!

Theresa, of course there will be a date!!! You do sound like you are having a very relaxing evening.
I've never heard her music, should I seek it out? Your brother sounds like such a nice guy the way you two share with one another. I am looking forward to seeing your new place, all your own all YOU. Enjoy your evening celebrating you & the wonderful person you are.

Yes, I am not upset at all. Darlene, you MUST seek out Diana Krall, she is a Canadian jazz superstar, lol! She is fabulous...my favorite album is called Love Scenes...wonderful music to have a glass of wine and a bubblebath to! And yes, my brother is awesome...he even brought me a basket of mums AT WORK yesterday for Valentine's Day...he said "I don't have a valentine to give to, and you don't have one to get flowers from, so I thought I would send them to you". We are very close.
Girls, you just don't know how content I am in my little place. It is cozy and warm...I love to just listen to my music and day dream. I can't wait to share my pictures with you....I am quite proud of my little home.

Theresa, I love your attitude. I am sure you will have a date soon. You are a beautiful woman and any man would be crazy not to want to take you out for a night or day on the town.

Hey that fella doesn't have a clue about the cool chick he didn't take out. IF he's worthy, he'll call and reschedule, if not you're ahead anyway. Your little place sounds soooooo nice. I'm glad you're enjoying it.

Maybe you need to find a "hairy guy" (cat or dog) to share your time with! You'd be amazed how many people end up meeting their SOs that way.
Your place sounds great! I totally understand. I LOVE our home and love coming home to it even if it's not always spotless!

Well, I can't have a cat here, the owner is supposedly allergic and I don't feel it's fair to have a dog when you work full time. So for now, no furbabies! I might go back and volunteer at the animal shelter though for my furbaby fix!
