You'll appreciate THIS gem!
My DS#1 has informed me that I don't care about him becuase I:
1. Won't let him swear.
2. Won't let him play on the school playground unattneded. FWIW, it's half a mile away!
3. Won't let him go downtown by himself.
4. Make him do chaore (can you IMAGINE?!!)
After I got done laughing hysterically, I told him things weren't going to change, so there! At ll, he thinks he knows everything and was thoroughly disgusted with me!

that is too funny! When he grows up he will realize that you did all those things because you love him not because you don't.

oh my..
If it was not for my parents giving me chores I don't think I would ever know how to clean up after myself and to run a household.
I thank my parents for there making me work.

I remember thinking my mom just wanted to ruin my life and not let me have any fun.

Too funny! I remember doing the same things.
My Danile knows that when we say no to his many requests that it is for his own good, safety and welfare. He still revolts at times but not too bad lately.
He'll understand one day.

Lori, you really should write this down and show it to him when he has kids of his own.
You mean mother you.

Oh, how awful!!
Ds was mad at me for making him clean up, so i took a pic of him pouting in his room. I plan to have his pic in a scrapbook page..with a list of "you never let me have/ do/ go's" beside the pic. He'll get a kick out of it when he's older.~~ Missy ~~
